JSB511 USB 1 Channel Quadrature Counter Module

The JSB-511 is a USB data acquisition module designed to track a quadrature encoder with single ended or differential inputs. The channel consists of quadrature A, B and Index signals. The quadrature input channels has a dedicated 20-bit real time 5MHz counter. The internal microcontroller reads the counter and transfers the data over the USB bus to the host PC. The JSB-511 supports both indexed and non-indexed quadrature encoders in a X1, X2 or X4 count mode. Modules are available with on board terminal block (screw type) connections or the Molex KK series of 2 piece pluggable connectors. Also on the module is 4 Digital IO (input/output) lines, each line can either be an input or an output, both controlled over the USB bus. The software interface is easy to use from Visual Basic, Visual C# Visual C++ via a standard windows DLL with sample source included. Any programming language that supports calls to Windows DLL can also be used to control the module. Each module has an unique serial number string which allows multiple USB boards to be controlled by the host USB controller as individual USB devices.
