Overview

The JSB-283 USB Relay module provides one (1) DPDT  relays for connection to user devices.  The JSB283 DPDT relays also has a optional built in Watch Dog Timer (WDT) function. When set, this WDT function will open the relay if the user set program time limit is exceeded and there has not been a command sent by the host PC over the USB. In other words there has been no communication from the PC, indicating a possible problem.  The relay can be wired as either as a normally open (NO) or a normally close (NC) allowing the user to use it either to turn off something or turn on something when the time out has occurred. Wire connection to the module relay contacts is with screw type high quality terminal blocks.

The relay module programming interface is easy to use from Visual Basic, C#, J#, Visual C++ or other applications via a standard windows DLL or a managed Class Library with sample source included.  Any programming language that supports calls to Windows DLL or Class Library can also be used. Each module has an unique serial number string which allows multiple USB devices to be controlled by the host USB controller as individual devices.
