The csb1618 USB Digital I/O (DIO) module provides 8 lines of buffered drive digital inputs and
outputs. Each line (I/O connection) can be configured to be either input or output. The
bi-directional DIO bits gives the user a simple interface to monitor and control any number of
I/O signals between your external hardware and the PC computer. Any programming language that supports calls to Windows DLL can also be used to control the module. The software interface is easy to use from Visual Basic,
Visual C# Visual C++ via a standard windows DLL with sample source included. Each module has an unique serial number string which allows multiple USB boards to be controlled by
the host USB controller as individual USB devices. Click on blue tabs above to view other information about the module.

USB Connector
The industrial/military marketplace has driven the need for USB connections to be reliable, dependable, and unfailing. Used in all of our USB products is a type B USB connector which features a high retention design. This connector complies with the class 1, Div II minimum withdrawal requirement of over 3 pounds of force (15 Newtons). The connectors orange color-coded insulator differentiates it from standard USB connectors.
KK Connector Header
On modules that have the KK header option, a Molex KK series of header is on the board. This allows a two piece type of connection to the users equipment. The Molex KK concept utilizes a double cantilever contact design in mating with PC board pins. The proven double cantilever design provides a high uniform contact pressure for a reliable connector interface. The high pressure creates many contact points at a microscopic level, thereby providing a lower contact resistance. The wiping action of the double cantilever design tends to clean oxides and film when the connector is mated.
